An Evening Of Song program cover - Treasure Beach Bread Basket Festival"An Evening Of Song!" Treasure Beach Bread Basket Festival, May 27-29, 2011
Calabash was gone and property owners in the community were looking to create something to fill the void. The community spirit is alive and well in Treasure Beach, Jamaica, membes members come together stage the Treasure Beach Bread Basket Festival, May 27, 28 and 29, 2011.

I had this wild hair to do a recital of sorts, "An Evening Of Song!" spanning music of genres from opera to jazz, musical theater and my own unclassified, acoustic creations, and Denny Davis, (music lecturer of Bethlehem Moravian College, St. Elizabeth,) agreed to play with me and we turned it into a fundraiser for abused women in St. Elizabeth. Eleven Paints, Five Paintbrushes, One Palettte, 31 Days in Treasure Beach
I "heard the cry of my Ancestors and followed Spirit home" to Jamaica, West Indies, the birth place of my parents. I picked up myself, my two sons, (15 and 13) and a few bags and leapt. It has been an exhilarating and immensely challenging experience but I find that as long as I have a creative outlet I can continue to breath on my own, and lesson the stress on me emotionally and physically. Interestingly enough, I honestly am in a peaceful place spiritually. In July 2011, I decided to paint a picture a day throughout the month. I had no set theme, I simply allowed myself to be present with myself in each moment and allow inspiration to come forth intuitively. In the end, I completed twenty wonderfully whimsical paintings.
